Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
By accessing or using FAWN ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Who we are
FAWN is a custodial crypto payments platform. FAWN itself is not a bank, is not a licensed financial institution, and balances are not FDIC insured. Your USDC is held in a dedicated wallet record with signing keys encrypted at rest and handled by FAWN infrastructure. The only third-party services FAWN integrates with are Alpaca (stock and ETF investing) and Plaid (optional bank-account linking for funding).
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a US resident to create a FAWN wallet. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. FAWN is designed for college students but is not exclusively restricted to enrolled students.
Account and waitlist
Joining the waitlist does not create a wallet or any financial obligation. You provide your name and email voluntarily and may be removed from the waitlist at any time by contacting us. Creating a FAWN wallet requires only a name, email, and password — no identity verification or credit check.
Fees
FAWN charges $0.01-$0.02 per completed transaction. An optional Premium plan is available for $3.00/month. There are no monthly maintenance fees, no overdraft fees, and no minimum balance requirements. Fee rates may be updated with advance notice to account holders.
Prohibited use
You may not use FAWN for illegal activity, money laundering, fraud, or any purpose that violates applicable law. Accounts found to be in violation will be suspended and reported to relevant authorities as required by law.
No investment advice
FAWN's AI news summaries are for informational purposes only. Nothing on FAWN constitutes investment advice, financial advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. FAWN does not manage investments on your behalf.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FAWN's liability for any claim arising from use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid to FAWN in the 30 days preceding the claim. Because FAWN is custodial, you are responsible for securing your account credentials while FAWN is responsible for protecting encrypted signing keys. Your funds are not FDIC insured.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
